Our full range of horse feeds is evident from our product list and we think we have the most comprehensive range of horse feed in Queensland.

1.1 Premixed Feeds

MITAVITE

We are distributors and stockists of the full range of Mitavite products. (Use the hyperlink to visit their web site for more detailed information).

We can arrange bulk deliveries of Breeda and Studgro by the trailer load into your silo anywhere in Queensland or alternatively if you live in the vicinity of the Darling Downs we can deliver Bulka Bags of the product or small bulk quantities (between 1-10 ton) into your silo or feed room. 1.2 Hay and chaff

We deal in lucerne hay and chaff and have a constant supply of oaten and wheaten chaff available. We pride ourselves on quality and stock primarily top quality chaff from Wagga Wagga. When top quality local wheaten hay is available, we cut our own local wheaten chaff, which has been extremely popular.
 

We cut our own premium quality lucerne chaff. Our experienced cutting team and well-designed chaff cutter with its dust extraction facilities ensures that you get the best quality lucerne chaff possible. We pride ourselves on the quality of our chaff and always use the best quality lucerne available.
 

1.3 Our own horse feed products

QPD has a number of its own mixes that have been used locally in SE Qld for many years with great success. Recently we have started marketing more of these products throughout Queensland in an attempt to deliver an even better service to our customers.
 

1.3.1 RELAX

Recommended for horses on low to medium work rate. A complete highly palatable horse mix formulated by horse people for horse people using the latest dietary technology.

Composed of: rolled barley, black sunflower, sunflower oil, wheaten chaff, lucerne chaff, supplemented with a balanced vitamin/mineral pre-mix and pellets, blended with molasses.

We feel we have the ideal balance for keeping a horse in top condition without adding any of the “fizz” which causes so much trouble in so many horses.

RELAX SHOULD BE FED WITH A GENEROUS AMOUNT OF ROUGHAGE (1% of horses bodyweight) FOR MAXIMUM RESULTS.

1.3.2 FIBRE PLUS

Bulk feed for horses

Recommended as an alternative to white chaff, Fibre Plus is a cool roughage supplemented with a balanced vitamin, mineral and amino acid pre-mix and is fortified with molasses.

Composed of: Rice Hulls, Wheaten chaff, molasses, Fully steam-extruded Vitamin and Nutrient balancer, (protein meals, legumes, lupins, molasses, vegetable oils, salt, electrolytes, heat stable vitamins, natural chelated mineral proteinates, Mitaze 888, yeast culture and natural enzymes).

1.3.3 WORKING HORSE MIX

A feed for horses in work

QPD Custom Working Horse Mix is composed of only the highest quality produce containing rolled barley, oats, cracked corn, pony pellets, sunflower seed, lucerne chaff & molasses. This highly palatable horse feed is best fed with a generous amount of roughage (hay, chaff or pasture). Ensure that cool clean water is always available.

IMPORTANT: for horses that are prone to excitability when on hard feed, we recommend our product RELAX, a highly sophisticated feed especially formulated to add condition to your horse without the “fizz”.

1.3.4 MARE AND FOAL MIX

Recommended for pregnant and lactating mares and young growing horses. A complete highly palatable horse mix formulated by horse people for horse people using experience.

Composed of: rolled barley,black sunflower, sunflower oil, cracked corn, rolled oats, full fat soya meal, cracked lupins, extruded multi grain mix, lucerne chaff and mudgee dolomite, blended with molasses. 

Mare and Foal Mix should be fed with a generous amount of roughage (1% of bodyweight) ( lucerne or cereal hay, FIBRE PLUS or pasture) for maximum results.
